Lady With Guitar
9x12.   Oil on canvas panel.   2017 This is a quick sketch from a hand tinted black and white family photo.  It pictures my Mom, Ruth Helen Koykka, when she was 17 years old, with her cousin Harold Koykka.  There is a hand written note in ink, in my Mom's writing, on the bottom edge of the photo that says July 1939.   I might, at some point make a bigger painting of this cool image.  This sketch only took about a half hour to paint.
